Kashmir's new paragliding destination
As summer vacation is approaching, people around the country are looking for an escape from this scorching heat.
Here’s a new paragliding paradise located in Astanmarg, making it one of the best places to visit in Srinagar in 2022.
In association with a paragliding firm, the Kashmir tourism department took an initiative to boost tourism in the valley and launched a paragliding activity to lure adventure seekers to Srinagar’s Astanmarg.
Located around 30 km from Srinagar, Astanmarg is a lush green meadow on the Zabarwaan range.
The paragliding will begin from the Astanmarg top at a height of 2000ft. Woah! That’s amazing, I’m sure this will excite you.
The paragliding cost will be up to INR 3500 if you’re in a rush season while you must bargain for the same.
Paragliding experts will brief you about the gear and safety information.
This 15-minute session will let you enjoy the beautiful Kashmir valley with a stunning view of Dal Lake, Mahadev Peak, Dachigam National Park, and Mughal Gardens (A UNESCO World Heritage Site).
After landing in Srinagar, you can visit Dal Lake and enjoy boating and good food.
Moreover, you can book a taxi and can head out to Sonamarg or Gulmarg.
